Introduction/Location

Massey University is one of New Zealand's largest institutions  of higher education with a student population of nearly 35,000 combined across their multiple campuses and distance education programs. Massey is known for its groundbreaking research, the applied nature of many of their teaching and research programs, contribution to land-based industries, distinctive mix of campus-based, distance and international teaching, commitment to innovation, close links with the community, and an 80-year tradition of academic excellence.

Massey has three campuses across the North Island. The Manawatu Campus located in Palmerston North is Massey's largest campus. Massey Manawatu is the premiere and largest institution for the life sciences, agricultural, horticultural, and research and is a leader in industrial innovation through areas such as food science and technology, biotechnology, advanced material sciences and product development. Palmerston North, referred to by locals as Palmy, is described as the best place to have a student experience in New Zealand as a large majority of the city's population is under 25.

The Albany Campus is located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. Set in peaceful grounds with native trees and plants, the Albany campus offers 70 majors including a number of specialized programs in Mathematics and Information Sciences, Fundamental and Natural Sciences, Food Technology, Nutrition, Health Sciences, Engineering, Jazz, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Education.

Massey's third and smallest campus is the Wellington Campus. Wellington is New Zealand's capitol city and is set between the harbor and rolling hills. The Wellington campus research and study programs focus on communication, business, health and well-being, creative arts, and design.
